Fans are eagerly awaiting Apple’s next big reveal and this time, it’s bound to be “Scary Fast.” The official media invitations have been sent out for the event taking place on October 30th. However, this time this event is going to be virtual, allowing fans from around the world to tune in.

The invitation warmly extends, “You’re invited to join us for a special Apple Event online. Tune in at apple.com on October 30th.” However, what’s interesting is that there are rumors that there might be a Japanese game developer at this Scary Fast event.

While Apple has kept specifics under wraps, reports from MacRumors hint at a significant collaboration with a Japanese game developer. The report claims, “A source informed us that Apple is holding its online event at the unusual time of 5 p.m. Pacific Time because it will fall during business hours in Japan, and claimed that the event will include a major tie-in with a Japanese game developer, but we have not independently confirmed the accuracy of this information.”

Interestingly, Japanese game developer Capcom recently announced that Resident Evil Village will be available on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPad models with the M1 chip and newer, starting October 30th – the very same day as Apple’s event. While this could be purely coincidental, it raises the possibility of exciting Mac-related gaming news from Apple and Capcom and potentially other game developers.

Moreover, Apple has dropped hints about more AAA games making their way to the Mac in a recent interview with gaming publication IGN. Apple VP Tim Millet suggested, “The developers are going to work with us to do it,” when asked about the compatibility of new games announced for the iPhone 15 Pro with silicon Macs. These games include a Resident Evil 4 remake, Death Stranding Director’s Cut, and Assassin’s Creed Mirage.

Adding fuel to the excitement, the buzz suggests that this event will primarily focus on Mac-related announcements. The exact lineup of products remains a mystery. However, industry insiders anticipate the introduction of an updated model of the 24-inch iMac. The current version, powered by the impressive M1 chip, is known for its vibrant array of colors and 4.5K retina display.

Intriguingly, there’s speculation that the new Mac products might debut with Apple’s latest innovation – the M3 chip, as suggested in Mark Gurman’s report. On a separate note, Gurman’s report indicates that the tech giant might not unveil new iPad models this year. Instead, we might expect fresh iPad releases around March 2024.

However, players will only get the confirmed news on October 30th. For easy access, the event will be live-streamed on Apple’s website and there’s a high likelihood that it will also be available on YouTube.
