While we are yet to get an official word from Ember Lab or Xbox about such a development, an ESRB rating for Kena: Bridge of Spirits surfaced prematurely confirming Kena: Bridge of Spirits Xbox version is in the works. You can still find the ESRB rating online, although there’s nothing particularly new about it other than the Xbox version receiving its own listing since the game has been available for almost three years.
As for the release date of the Kena: Bridge of Spirits Xbox version, it remains unannounced. However, typically, such releases follow closely after ESRB ratings are revealed.
After being exclusively available for the PS5, PS4, and PC until September 2021, the Xbox port may terminate the console’s three-year exclusivity. Additionally, Josh Grier, a co-founder of Ember Lab, stated at the game’s launch that it might eventually be released on additional platforms. In 2021 he said, “We are currently focused on our launches for PlayStation and Epic Games Store, which are timed exclusives. We will look into other platform releases after launch and a rest.”
Well, despite minimal communication from the developer since the game’s launch, it’s worth noting that Ember Lab managed to recoup its production costs and turn a profit within just one month. And now that the game is also available on PS Plus Extra, its availability on the Xbox console could open up a new revenue stream.
