EA Reveals First Details On Next Battlefield Game – Concept Art and Modern Setting Shown

Vince Zampella, the guy who’s helped make some of the biggest shooter games ever, just shared some exciting news about the next Battlefield game. If you’re a fan of the series, this might remind you of the awesome days of Battlefield 3 and 4, which were super popular back in the day. Zampella said the new Battlefield is gonna go back to its roots with a modern setting and bring back some of the cool gameplay stuff that players have been asking for.

EA’s Vince Zampella Reveals First Details On Next Battlefield Game

In a recent interview, Zampella talked about how the next Battlefield game will move away from the future vibes of Battlefield 2042, which didn’t really pleased the fans. Instead, they’re going back to a more down-to-earth, modern era like Battlefield 3 and 4.

This change is seen as a big move to get the series back on track, and Zampella thinks this will really click with longtime fans. He said that the modern setting was one of the best times for Battlefield, and bringing it back could help win over players who maybe didn’t feel so connected with the newer games.

One of the coolest things coming back in the new Battlefield game is the 64-player matches. This was a huge part of the older Battlefield games, and fans have been asking for it to return. Plus, the classic class system is also coming back. This is a really big deal because in Battlefield 2042, they switched things up with these new Specialists, and honestly, most players didn’t really like it. Zampella admitted that while they tried something new, it just didn’t work, so they’re bringing back the class system that everyone loved.

Zampella also shared some exciting stuff about the multiplayer. He said the game will launch with about 45 weapons— that’s like double of what we got in Battlefield 2042. Players can also look forward to around 10 multiplayer maps, which is similar to some of the older games in the series. And do note that the new Battlefield game’s destruction system is getting even better. Different weapons will cause all kinds of damage to buildings and environments, making everything feel way more real.

Next Battlefield Game, new Battlefield Game, upcoming Battlefield Game, Next Battlefield Game Might Get Its Own Battle Royale Mode

Zampella also dropped a little hint about a possible new Battle Royale mode in Battlefield, kinda like Call of Duty’s Warzone. This new mode is being worked on by Ripple Effect and might be connected to the main game, possibly even as a free-to-play option along with the paid version. It’s a smart idea since Battle Royale games have gotten super popular lately, and it could bring a lot more players into the Battlefield series.

As for testing, Zampella said that the game has already been tested internally for over a year, and they’re planning some big community testing early next year. So, that means players might get to try out the game and give their feedback before it officially comes out. Zampella thinks this approach, where the community gets involved, will really help make the game better for everyone.

As for when the game will release, it’s still gonna be a while. They started full production earlier this year, and they’re aiming to launch in 2025. Yeah, it feels kind of far, but with all the work they’re putting in, it looks like EA really wants to get everything perfect this time.

So, in the end, it looks like the next Battlefield game is really trying to bring back the magic that made the series so great. With the modern setting, those classic 64-player matches, and focusing on what made Battlefield fun in the first place, EA is clearly going all in on this new game.
