If you’d rather take on monsters alone, there’s an easy way to do it—without going offline with single-player mode. Here’s how you can play Monster Hunter Wilds​ solo while staying connected.

How to Play Monster Hunter Wilds Solo?

In Monster Hunter Wilds, you can play solo without worrying about random players joining your quests. Just use the Online Single-Player mode! You’ll still be online, but your game stays private.

Here’s how to set it up:

1. Head to the Quest Counter – Find Alma, the receptionist, at any base camp. She’s your go-to for quests.
2. Open the Change Lobby Menu – Use the shoulder buttons to scroll through the menu until you see the “Change Lobby” option.
3. Pick Online Single Player – Select this mode, and your game will restart in a solo session where no one else can join.

If you want to rejoin multiplayer lobbies, you can pick how you want to join. Firstly, access the quest counter and then navigate to the change lobby menu. Now, just select your preferred lobby option from the following

1. Recommended Lobby – Hop into a public lobby with up to 99 players. Great for random hunts and meeting new players.
2. Private Lobby – Set up a special lobby with a unique ID to play with just your friends. Make sure to share the ID so they can join.
3. Lobby Search – Look for a specific lobby using filters like language or skill level.

That’s it! Now you’re ready to play solo or teaming up to take down some monsters.

How to Use Support in Single-Player Mode?

In Monster Hunter Wilds, solo players don’t have to fight alone. If you’re playing offline or by yourself, just fire an SOS Flare, and AI-controlled Support Hunters will jump in to help. 

These AI allies track monsters, fight alongside you, and make sure you’re not left struggling on your own. 

Even in multiplayer lobbies, if no real players answer your SOS in time, the game sends AI helpers instead. 

This way, solo players always have backup, without having to wait for other people or deal with random players interfering in their hunt.
