Sharp Fangs are super useful in Monster Hunter Wilds. You’ll need them to craft awesome gear like the Chatacabra Coil and Talioth Vambraces, which make your hunts way better. To get these fangs, you have to track down certain monsters in specific areas in MHW.
Let’s dive into how you can collect Sharp Fang in Monster Hunter Wilds and build some powerful equipment.
Where to Find Sharp Fang in Monster Hunter Wilds?
Sharp Fangs play a crucial role in crafting early-game armor such as the Chatacabra Coil and Talioth Vambraces in Monster Hunter Wilds. These fangs are primarily obtained by hunting small monsters known as Gajios and Talioth.
Gajios look like little crocodiles and hang out in the rivers of Area 8 in the Windward Plains. Every time you take one down, you’re guaranteed a Sharp Fang since that’s the only thing they drop.
Talioth, on the other hand, are fast, raptor-like monsters in the same area. They sometimes drop Sharp Fangs, but not always.
So, if you want an easy way to farm these materials, hunting Gajios in Area 8 is the way to go.
Crafting with Sharp Fang
Sharp Fangs are super useful in Monster Hunter Wilds, especially when you’re just starting out. You’ll need them to craft some solid armor that boosts your defense.
One piece is the Chatacabra Coil—it gives you decent protection and even some water resistance, which really helps against monsters like Balahara. To make it, you’ll need one Sharp Fang, a Chatacabra Certificate, two Chatacabra Scales, and a Chatacabra Jaw (which you get by breaking the Chatacabra’s face in battle).
Another great option is the Talioth Vambraces. These also require one Sharp Fang and provide extra defense while giving you the Leap of Faith Skill.
Once you have all the materials, just head over to Gemma, the Smithy, at any Base Camp and start crafting.
