A brand-new Star Wars turn based tactics game is on the way, and fans won’t have to wait long to see it in action. It’s set to be revealed at the upcoming Star Wars Celebration on April 19th.
This exciting project comes from Respawn Entertainment and Bit Reactor, and recent leaks have given a sneak peek at the gameplay, and the early details are already turning heads.
Let’s take a closer look at what’s in store for this highly anticipated game.
Leaked Screenshots of Star Wars Turn Based Tactics Game
So, the leaks dropped some early images from the upcoming Star Wars turn based tactics game, made by Respawn Entertainment and Bit Reactor.

The screenshots, found in a Bit Reactor artist’s mid-2023 portfolio, give off major XCOM vibes.
From the screenshots, you see two Mandalorians and a droid taking on Stormtroopers in a prisoner rescue mission. Players take control of a Mandalorian in an isometric view, aiming at a Republic clone trooper with a “95% hit chance” popping up on screen. The combat looks tactical, with cover mechanics and team-based attacks.
The UI shows handy gear like thermal detonators and deployable droids, giving players plenty of ways to strategize. Furthermore, there are different options, like using an “overwatch” ability to automatically fire at enemies moving into range.
There’s also a central hub called Kafrene Mining Colony, where players can visit the Armory, Holotable, Special Ops, and Black Market—probably for gearing up, planning missions, and trading resources.
Which Platforms Might Get the New Star Wars Game?
The artist’s portfolio doesn’t say exactly which platforms the game will launch on, but the UI has controller buttons, so it’s safe to guess it’ll be on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series. There’s also a chance it could come to the upcoming Switch 2.
These images are about a year and a half old, so while the visuals might have improved, the main gameplay mechanics are probably the same.
The exciting part is that fans won’t have to wait much longer. According to the Star Wars website, the game will be shown during a one-hour panel at the event on April 19th.
So, the date is just around the corner, and the event should finally give an official look at the game.
