Marvel Rivals is a new game where famous Marvel characters fight each other to decide the fate of the world. The game doesn’t have a release date yet, and we don’t know all the characters that will be in it. But we do know that characters like Magneto and Spider-Man will be there as developers have shared a few teasers about them.

But what’s interesting is that today on August 4, 2024, another big character for the game was leaked: Captain America. The leak came from a trusted source, Miller Ross, who confirmed that the Captain’s design in Marvel Rivals is real.

Marvel Rivals’ Captain America’s First Look and Abilities Leaked

The first image of Captain America was posted on social media by the user @404LEAKbackup. Miller Ross then confirmed the leak with a post saying, “Can’t blame me for this one! There’s Captain America as he will appear in Marvel Rivals.” This post quickly spread across various social media sites, and fans noticed many interesting details.

First, the leaked image shows Captain America as a big, heavy-set man in his famous blue, red, and white armor. This design is different from the more slim look in the Avengers movies.

One interesting detail is that our Cap doesn’t have his Adamantium shield in the picture, and many fans think that the shield might be shown when the character officially comes out in the game.

Then the picture also shows other characters like Thor and Storm. While the image looks more like artwork than an in-game character, it gives fans a good look at Captain America’s appearance in the game.

The leak also hints at some exciting gameplay features.

According to Miller Ross, Captain America will have special abilities when teamed up with Thor. This matches a previous leak from May, which said our beloved Captain would get more powerful when on a team with Thor, giving him lightning abilities. This team-up called the Voltaic Union, seems to be a part of the game’s strategy to make characters stronger when paired together.

When can we see Captain America in Marvel Rivals?

Marvel Rivals is currently in its Closed Beta stage, which ends tomorrow, August 5, 2024, at 12 am PT / 7 am UTC / 12:30 pm IST. This means players can’t play as Captain America just yet.

But the leak suggests that the developer, NetEase, is getting ready to add this new character to the game soon, maybe in the next phase of testing or when the game fully releases.
