Let’s take a closer look at this exciting story and what it means for Ghost-Spider.
Background on Spider-Gwen
Gwen Stacy, also known as Spider-Gwen or Ghost-Spider, comes from Earth-65, a totally different universe where she got bitten by a radioactive spider. This gave her awesome spider-like powers, but things didn’t go great for her friend Peter Parker.
In her world, he turns into the Lizard and ends up dying, which makes people see Spider-Woman as the bad guy. Her dad, Captain George Stacy of the NYPD, is put in charge of catching her, not knowing she’s actually his daughter.
When Gwen finally tells him the truth, he decides to support her instead.
She first showed up in Edge of Spider-Verse #2 (2014), and fans loved her so much that she got her own series and became a big part of Marvel’s multiverse stories.
