Recent rumors suggest that Halo Infinite might introduce a Battle Royale playlist featuring a Forge-made BR map.
In the previous month’s official Halo Infinite livestream, 343 Industries hinted at a forthcoming refresh for Big Team Battle, a popular mode in the online shooter. This refresh materialized in the form of five new community maps, which are now part of the Big Team Battle playlist rotation. With these additions, the map pool for Big Team Battle has doubled, offering players more variety and enhancing the appeal of Halo Infinite’s premier mode.
Now a new leak from Rebs Gaming suggests Halo Infinite is getting a Battle Royale playlist. The leaker claims that data miners have discovered a Forge-made Battle Royale map in the game files which means 343 Industries will likely add it to multiplayer with its own Battle Royale playlist! The leaker corroborates this information by confirming it through another source.
Among the notable findings in the game files is a community-made Battle Royale map called Inheritor, implying that it is currently undergoing testing for multiplayer integration.
Well, the anticipation for a Halo Infinite Battle Royale mode has been building for quite some time. Rumors began circulating in 2021, suggesting that Halo support studio Certain Affinity was actively developing a Battle Royale mode with the codename Tatanka. However, neither 343 Industries nor Certain Affinity has officially acknowledged the existence of this mode.
Despite the lack of official confirmation, it is expected that news regarding this exciting addition to Halo Infinite will surface soon.
