According to recent reports, Lords of the Fallen, an action RPG developed by Hexworks and CI Games, is set to join Xbox Game Pass soon.
According to eXputer’s source, Lords of the Fallen, which was initially released in October 2023, will be added to the Game Pass collection later this month.
The well-known leaker “eXtas1s” is the source of the information, claiming to have inside knowledge of the precise Game Pass release date for Lords of the Fallen. But for now, all they’ve said is that it will be available “in the last week of May,” in case Microsoft decides to adjust the lineup.
Interestingly, Saul Gascon from Hexworks recently discussed the game’s ‘Master of Fate’ 1.5 update on the official Xbox Wire blog. It was revealed that this update will be the last of the more than 30 that have been released for the game since its release, and this current patch in essence includes several QoL improvements, fresh content, and stability enhancements.
As for the credibility, ‘eXtas1s’ was behind a recent rumor about Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons coming to Game Pass in early May, which turned out to be true, albeit with the original version arriving on May 14th instead of the 2024 remake.
Regarding Lords of the Fallen itself, this potential move seems logical. The recent 1.5 update “concludes the Free Content Roadmap” for the game, indicating that development is winding down on this soulslike title. Moreover, the game has received praise for its resemblance to Dark Souls 3, capturing the essence that makes FromSoftware’s games so compelling. Its stunning visuals, captivating art style, and memorable music contribute to its appeal, while seamless co-op adds an extra layer of enjoyment.
So, if rumors are accurate, Microsoft’s late-May Game Pass list should reveal the same, which would be confirmed before the middle of the month. Therefore, it might be worth keeping an eye out for Lords of the Fallen in that lineup.
