When the game is released, fans of the Mortal Kombat franchise may look forward to playing as eight iconic characters. This contains Shang Tsung (as a pre-order bonus), Kitana, Kung Lao, Fire God Liu Kang, Mileena, Raiden, Scorpion, and Sub-Zero.

Though we will have to wait for more formal announcements, it’s very certain that a lot more characters, both old favorites, and fresh faces, will join the Mortal Kombat 1 roster.

The teaser not only confirmed the playable characters but also gave fans a preview of the game’s plot.

Mortal Kombat 1 Story

According to the Mortal Kombat game’s introduction, Shang Tsung was exiled to Earthrealm 500 years prior. With the help of the terrifying Goro, he is able to grab control of the Mortal Kombat tournament in an effort to bring about the end of the realm.

The very first game in Mortal Kombat series revealed that Goro has won nine straight tournaments and been unbeaten in the competition for 500 years.

Now the Mortal Kombat 1 story takes place in a realm in which Liu Kang, the fire god, has been reborn. Despite being a bit of a reboot, the game will have a new plot and include many of our other favorite Mortal Kombat characters, including Scorpion and Sub-Zero.

Despite not appearing to feature any action, the trailer may nonetheless provide fans a preview of what to anticipate from Fatalities. The MK1 cast is brutally dismembered in the final moments of the trailer, which features an avalanche of incredibly violent and brutal scenes, and it could be an indicator of brutal gameplay.
