There’s exciting news about Contraband in 2024, as shared by Middleagegamegy on the XNC Podcast. The leaker, who claims to have inside information, mentioned that they know someone who had a chance to play the game for about 2 weeks during testing and described it as “amazing,” building up the hype for the game.
New details about Contraband, the Xbox-exclusive game have been revealed through recent leaks
On a recent episode of the Xbox Infinite podcast, Middleagegameguy (MAGG) shared some details about the game Contraband.
According to MAGG, Contraband will have a cool feature where 8 players can play together. The game is kind of like the Dukes of Hazzard TV show and Ubisoft’s Driver series, with a focus on driving and vehicular combat.
The game has a unique setting inspired by the 70s, as revealed in the official trailer showcased at E3 2021.
MAGG mentioned that in the footage he saw, the in-game models for drivers were not fully finished yet. There are also other parts of the game that don’t involve driving, but MAGG didn’t give details about those yet. The 8-player co-op feature is still in the early stages of development, moving from alpha to beta.
MAGG stated that Xbox has plans for announcements and updates on Contraband soon. However, an update on the game’s development is unlikely at the January 18 Xbox Developer Direct. Additionally, the co-host mentioned that he doesn’t know when Contraband will be released, so fans have to wait for Xbox to share more information at upcoming events.
Despite the lack of concrete information, the game seems to have a lot of potential as a developer friend of MAGG suggested hyping up the game while waiting for updates.
