After Sumeru, we have Fontaine for the year 2023. Though being the hub of art and culture, Fontaine is home to the invention of the Sumeru and the beginning of the filmmaking culture with other artistic new inventions. Focalors, the Hydro Archon is in charge of the domain which is ruled by justice.
According to Dainsleif’s narration in the Teyvat chapter storyline preview: Travail, the god of justice lives for the spectacle of the courtroom and strives to judge other gods, new Archon will be released and made playable with every new nation released, as mentioned before Fontaine is ruled by Hydro Archon Focalors which is also known as the god of justice.
Lyney and Lynette are seen to play a major role in the Archon Quest of their different region which is similar to how Ayaka and Cyno did, although in addition to Focalors as in Kamisato Ayaka and Cyno, both of these Genshin Impact characters were used as posters for Inazuma and Sumeru in the travail teaser.

Though HoYoverse, the developer of the Genshin Impact characters has not yet released any authentic guidelines on what to expect, there have been rumors from some reliable sources that revealed the above list suggesting that players will explore them in the fifth nation, Fontaine, in the game universe of Teyvat.
Fontaine, a technologically inclined nation more than its contemporaries with its engineers and developers has invented several technologies including the previously mentioned Sumeru, the milkage furnace in Inazuma, and the wisdom orb during Sumeru’s fabulous fungus frenzy event.
It’s quite interesting to know that Fontaine means fountain in French which is perfect since it is the domain of Hydro Archon, Inazuma was inspired by feudal Japan just the same way Fontaine is inspired by a real-life civilization. Based on the clothing of Fontaine NPC we’ve seen so far, it seems Fontaine has mainly influenced France during the early 1900s, or at least a steampunk version of that.
Also, a lot of people think that the twin Genshin Impact characters from Fontaine, Lyney and Lynette are really just one playable character since they were portrayed so in the teaser.
Well, characters in the Inazuma region including updates 2.0 through to 2.8 were released from July 2021 to July 2022, and it’s likely that the current version, Sumeru, may follow the same timeline till 3.8, though this is not confirmed as the actual release date schedule may change.
