EA seems to be focusing on making the new Battlefield game’s destruction effect the coolest and most realistic to date, as per new job listings.
Game developers have been getting better at making games feel more real and exciting. One cool thing they’ve improved a lot is how things break and explode in games. Well, the most recent Battlefield game got some criticism, especially for not having as much cool destruction as before. But there’s hope for the next one!
We found a job posting from EA and Ripple Effect (the game developers), looking to hire someone to make the destruction effects in the next Battlefield game super realistic. They’re on the lookout for a VFX Director and a Senior 3D Artist to help create really realistic and exciting destruction in the game.
The job listing for a Senior 3D Artist states: “We are looking for a Senior 3D Artist to help us create the most realistic and exciting destruction effects in the industry.”
EA is also looking for a Lead VFX Artist to join the team. This person will be responsible for creating amazing, chaotic, and realistic visual effects in the game. The job involves figuring out the best ways to make these effects, managing budgets, and making sure everything looks top-notch.
EA mentioned that a VFX Artist is a hands-on artist who takes inspiration not just from the gaming world but also from movies, 2D art, cinema, and other forms of media. The listing states, “An understanding of the VFX process, realistic execution, and beautiful visuals.”
In the past, Battlefield games were known for their exciting destruction and large-scale battles. This made the game’s maps change dynamically as players made decisions. But Battlefield 2042 didn’t have as much destruction as previous titles, and many fans were disappointed. They felt it was a step back from games like Battlefield 1 and 5, and they wanted more destruction in the next Battlefield game.
EA has said that a new Battlefield game is on the way and the CEO mentioned that this upcoming game will bring a fresh take to the series. Now, since EA is paying attention to community feedback, it seems like they’re putting a lot of focus on making the next Battlefield game’s destruction the coolest and most realistic yet.
