Nintendo Switch 2’s leaks about its speculated announcement and release dates have generated a lot of buzz in the community. And now a new leak has surfaced from Uagna that reveals the exact Nintendo Switch 2 release date.
March End to be Nintendo Switch 2 Release Date
Uagna claims that the source of the leak is “very reliable” and has chosen to remain anonymous for “obvious reasons.” Nevertheless, the leak definitely reveals the release date of the Switch 2.
The anonymous revealed that the Nintendo Switch 2 release date is set for March 28, 2025.
The source’s specific statement pointed to the distribution of the Switch 2 accessories, both made by Nintendo and by third-party companies, on March 28. The latter accessories include the JoyCon steering wheels that have leaked online for some time now. The logical deduction now would be that the Nintendo Switch 2 will also be launched on March 28, 2025. This is similar to the release and distribution pattern of the previous Switch.
The original Switch saw its teaser launch in late 2016 and then had a dedicated reveal event in January the following year. The launch took place on March 3, 2017.
Coming back to Switch 2, its launch date, then, would allow Nintendo to capitalize on the momentum of fiscal year-end transitions.
A console launch would be amiss without launch titles, and the rumoured titles to take this spot are Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and the new Pokemon Legends. Mario Kart is also reported to be a launch title, along with it being one of the most expensive Nintendo games ever.
Now, for those who are still looking dubiously at this piece of information, all they need do is wait for a couple of weeks, because the news will be officially confirmed at Switch 2’s reveal event rumoured to happen around mid-January.
