Cyberpunk 2077 is set to receive another update next week, as confirmed by CD Projekt Red. This comes as welcome news for fans who have been experiencing issues following the last major update.
Despite its troubled launch, Cyberpunk 2077 has been treated to over a dozen impactful patches over the past three years. The latest major release, update 2.0, introduced over 200 changes but also brought some new bugs.
The upcoming patch, slated for release during the week of January 29, aims to address “the most common issues” reported by players, including some bugged finisher animations broken by update 2.1.
Given CDPR’s historic reluctance to release game patches over the weekend, the next patch is likely to roll out sometime between January 29 and Friday, February 2.
CD Projekt Red announced in December that it was done with Cyberpunk 2077 following the debut of the 2.1 update. However, the developer will continue to fix critical issues should any arise in the future.
If the upcoming patch performs as intended, it could be the last update for Cyberpunk 2077 in 2024. As for its much-anticipated sequel, code-named Orion, CDPR recently stated that it is currently focused on the fourth The Witcher game, implying that the sequel won’t be released anytime soon.
