The full title of Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding sequel appears to have leaked. A reliable dataminer, billbil-kun, claims that the game will be called “Death Stranding 2 – On The Beach”.
According to the leaker, fans shouldn’t have to wait long for official confirmation. A new reveal for the game is said to be imminent, estimated to be made within the next 15 days.
Speculation suggests that the reveal could take place during an unannounced PlayStation State of Play presentation.
Death Stranding 2 was announced in December 2022 with a reveal trailer at The Game Awards. The sequel, to be published by Sony for PS5, stars Léa Seydoux, Norman Reedus, and Troy Baker.
The original Death Stranding game, published for PS4 in November 2019 and for PC in July 2020, has been played by 16 million people across all platforms, including subscription services like PlayStation Plus and PC Game Pass.
Kojima Productions announced last month that it has teamed up with A24 to bring a live-action film adaptation of Death Stranding to the big screen. The film promises to delve into the mysteries surrounding the apocalyptic event called the ‘Death Stranding’.
