Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree: Everything We Know So Far

The first expansion for Elden Ring, Shadow of the Erdtree, is set to release on June 21, 2024. It will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam.

Shadow of the Erdtree is available for pre-order now. Prices start at $39.99 / £34.99. Customers who pre-order will receive the Ring of Miquella in-game bonus gesture.

The expansion will introduce a new story, a new world, and deeper RPG features. It will add new weapons, equipment, weapon skills, and magic not found in the base game Elden Ring, along with new enemies, boss encounters, and plotlines.

Guided by Empyrean Miquella, players will explore the Land of Shadow, a place obscured by the Erdtree where the goddess Marika first set foot. Players will discover the dark secrets of the world as they meet others with ulterior motives.

The expansion is available in several editions, including the Base Edition, Premium Bundle, Deluxe Edition, and a limited quantity Collector’s Edition. The Collector’s Edition includes a statue of “Messmer the Impaler,” a 40-page physical art book, and a digital soundtrack.

Pre-orders are now available for the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Helmet of Messmer the Impaler, an exclusive item available only in the Bandai Namco Entertainment Store in very limited quantities. This elaborate replica helmet will ship timed with the expansion launch on June 21.
