Emma Stone, despite her numerous Hollywood awards, dreams of being a contestant on her favorite show, “Jeopardy!”.
To become a contestant, Stone takes the required test and reapplies every June. However, she has yet to be selected.
Stone clarified that she wants to be on the “real” Jeopardy, not the celebrity version. She wants to “earn her stripes”.
The show has had high-profile competitors before, like Jackie Fuchs from the rock band the Runaways, and Paris Themmen, who played Mike Teevee in “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory”.
Stone is prepared for her chance. She watches the show every night, keeping track of how many answers she gets right.
Stone is still waiting for her “Gloria Clemente” moment, a reference to the character from “White Men Can’t Jump” who dreams of competing on “Jeopardy!” and eventually does.
