Helldivers 2’s upcoming mechs footage has seemingly leaked

Gameplay footage showing off playable mechs in Helldivers 2 appears to have leaked. The footage was originally posted on Reddit by a player who encountered mechs in a random game.

The leaked footage shows that players can spawn in multiple types of mech, which allow pilots to alternate between rockets and a machine gun.

New Weapons The player who leaked the footage claimed to have seen new weapons like an energy RPG, a meteorite that hits like a nuke, and a group of NPC support characters that can be called in.

Mechs in Original Helldivers:  Mechs are available in the original Helldivers and were also teased as “coming soon after launch” in a pre-release trailer for the sequel.

Having resolved the server issues that players had been facing since the game’s release earlier this month, Arrowhead boss Johan Pilestedt recently said the studio can now focus on improving the title and working on new content.

Pilestedt also recently said the company wants to recruit more developers to “beef up” its content plans for the Sony-published shooter, which is available for PC and PS5.
