Jack Black, known for his roles in animated films, is slated to play Steve, presumably the main character, in Jason Momoa’s upcoming Minecraft movie.
This news comes shortly after Black’s success with the Super Mario Bros. movie, which became one of the highest-grossing animated movies of all time.
Black will be joining the existing cast that includes Emma Myers, Danielle Brooks, and Sebastian Eugene Hansen.
Black is set to take on the role of Steve in the Minecraft movie, which is currently in production. However, very little is known about the film, including its setting, style, story, and script.
Black is currently experiencing a boom in his career, riding high on the success of The Super Mario Bros. Movie. He is also set to appear in Kung Fu Panda 4, hitting theatres worldwide on March 8.
