The Monster Hunter Now December update has added Zinogre to its roster, a highly anticipated addition that allows Hunters to build new weapons and armor.
The update went live on December 7, 2023, at 12:00 am (local time). After completing the Radobaan, Banbaro, and Barioth Urgents, Zinogre will appear as an Urgent quest.
Players will need to fight Zinogre via Hunt-a-thons, which will go live on December 15, 2023, at 12:15 p.m. (local time) and receive boosted appearances until December 17, 2023, at 10:00 p.m. (local time).
New Special Quests will give Hunters the chance to discover Radobaan, Banbaro, Barioth, and Zinogre. The next encounter with Zinogre will be in the upcoming Zinogre’s Onslaught event on December 15, 2023.
In past Monster Hunter games, Zinogre has always been weak to Ice. This is also the case in Monster Hunter Now, so Hunters should use Legiana and Barioth weapons to take it down.
Zinogre weapons feature the Thunder element, allowing players to replace their Tobi-Kadachi weapons. The amount of Zinogre materials players gain access to will heavily rely on the amount of Hunt-a-thons they participate in.
