Cloud9 has made an announcement regarding its CS:GO roster, revealing the signing of former NAVI players Ilya 'Perfecto' Zalutskiy and Denis 'electroNic' Sharipov.
Perfecto and electroNic are joining Cloud9, replacing Vladislav 'nafany' Gorshkov and Timur 'buster' Tulepov on the starting roster.
The new Cloud9 CS:GO starting lineup includes Perfecto, electroNic, Abai 'HObbit' Hasenov, Dmitriy 'sh1ro' Sokolov, and Sergey 'Ax1Le' Rykhtorov, with Konstantin 'groove' Pikiner as the head coach.
It is expected that electroNic will take on the in-game leader (IGL) role previously held by nafany, while Perfecto will continue playing in a supportive style.
The announcement comes two weeks after NAVI announced changes to its roster, benching both Perfecto and electroNic.
Both Cloud9 and NAVI are assembling strong rosters ahead of the anticipated switch from CS:GO to CS2, which is expected to happen this summer.
The official release date of CS2 and the transition of the esport to the new title have yet to be announced by Valve.
