A leaker, who has accurately leaked games related to ATLUS in the past, has claimed that a new Sonic Spin-off mobile game is in development and is set to be released by the end of this year.
The game is rumored to have a similar gameplay design to that of Fall Guys, suggesting that the new Sonic spin-off game could be a Battle Royale-esque title.
Fall Guys, released in 2020, became immensely popular with players, boasting an active player base of 1.5 million within 24 hours of its release. The game’s player count eventually rose to over 50 million.
Given the success of Fall Guys, it makes sense why a new Sonic game could be targeting a similar gameplay loop.
While GameVro could not verify these claims, it is understood that multiple unannounced Sonic titles are in development across mobile and console platforms.
The suggested 2024 release date for the new mobile game could imply that an announcement might be coming soon.
