It is rumored that Sony is planning a new installment in the Astro Bot series for 2024

On a recent episode of Game Mess Mornings, Jeff Grubb speculated that Sony might be planning a new installment in the Astro Bot series for 2024

This is only speculation, and Sony has not officially confirmed anything yet. However, Grubb mentioned that “Astro might happen this year”.

Astro Bot, a relatively small IP, is recognized for games like 2018’s Astro Bot Rescue Mission and Astro’s Playroom, both of which have earned high ratings and acclaim from critics and players.

The characters and gameplay of Astro Bot games reference PlayStation consoles and DualSense controllers, adding personality and life to the platform. There are even nods to other games in Playroom, such as Resident Evil.

With the PlayStation platform continuing to evolve and Sony reportedly shipping 54.8 million consoles worldwide, there is plenty of room for new content.

While fans await a new Astro Bot game, they can check out some of the 13 new games coming to the PlayStation Plus library this month, including AAA games like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
