A ‘V2’ version of the PS5’s DualSense controller has been listed by a retailer, reportedly with improved battery life up to 12 hours.
The new controller will come bundled with a DualSense charging station and is designed for long gaming sessions. It will have the same price as its predecessor at $89.99 CAD, and the same dimensions.
If authentic, this new controller would be a significant improvement on the original, which includes a 1,560 mAh battery and lasts around six hours in demanding titles which use all of its features.
The more premium DualSense Edge controller, disappointingly for users, uses the same battery as the original DualSense and stays powered for even less time.
In November, all DualSense controller colours were put on sale for Black Friday, potentially to clear stock. That included the first price reductions for the recently introduced DualSense metal colours.
The DualSense Edge controller launched last year with a recommended retail price of $199.99 / £209.99 / €239.99. It’s undoubtedly the most premium PS5 controller you can buy, especially for competitive players.
