Paying a fee
In the game, if you have a Starfield bounty on your head, the easiest way to get rid of it is by paying a fee.
Look for a Bounty Clearance Kiosk in major cities like Neon and New Atlantis, usually near where you land your spaceship or on the main path into the city.
Use the Kiosk, and it will ask you to pay a fee. But remember, you can’t clear your bounty if it’s from a faction that controls the current system. You might need to travel to find a working Kiosk, and the cost depends on how bad your crimes are.
Do your time in jail
To avoid paying credits for a Starfield bounty, surrender to a guard. Talk to them and say you’ll go to jail. This fast-forwards time while you’re locked up. Keep in mind, that getting arrested means losing experience points (XP), and the XP loss depends on how big your bounty is.
Avoid a bounty
Avoiding a bounty means not getting caught. Commit crimes in remote areas, stay hidden, and if seen by a few, don’t harm them. Attacking witnesses increase your bounty. Too many witnesses lead to more crimes and a higher bounty. It’s best to stay hidden and avoid trouble altogether.
