The PC gaming landscape is flourishing, with a significant majority of developers expressing their focus on this platform. Still, a lot of games—some of which fans have been eagerly awaiting—have not yet been released for the PC platform. Notable titles like Demon’s Souls, Ghosts of Tsushima, TLOU Part 2, Spider-Man 2, and Bloodborne have been eagerly awaited by the gaming community, and there are indications that some of these games might finally make their way to PC this year.

Note: Before we continue, please note that the information below is based on a 4chan post and should be regarded with a grain of salt. Here is what has been claimed:

A 4chan post has surfaced, claiming insights from an individual claiming to be a Nixxes employee. This source alleges knowledge of certain Sony games slated for a PC release in the coming year. The reported list includes:

  • TLOU Part 2
  • God of War Ragnarok
  • Demon’s Souls
  • Ghost of Tsushima
  • Gran Turismo 7

According to the claim, all these games are expected to arrive on PC in the current year, and the delay in the release of Demon’s Souls and Ghosts of Tsushima is attributed to the developers’ first-time efforts in creating PC ports. Additionally, Spider-Man 2 is anticipated in early 2025. There are also discussions within Sony about porting earlier games, such as the infamous Second Son, to PC.

While the origin of this information raises skepticism due to its source being a 4chan post, some fans are cautiously optimistic. A few express disbelief, with one stating, “This seems a little too good to be true, but it was already confirmed on the Nvidia leak anyway.” Another fan hopes for a Ghost of Tsushima port this year but acknowledges the uncertainty, saying, “While I don’t believe the person who made this 4Chan post is a Nixxes employee, I really hope the Ghost of Tsushima port releases this year, preferably before Fall.”

The absence of Bloodborne in the purported list led some fans to consider its authenticity, with comments like, “No Bloodborne? Must be real. Ofc it is,” and “Demon’s Souls coming before Bloodborne is the only thing believable about this.”

While the credibility of this news remains unverified, the fact that these anticipated games will be coming to PC at some point can not be declined entirely as the overarching trend indicates a growing emphasis on PC gaming. In fact, PC gaming has become the most “dominant” genre this decade.

A survey of over 3,000 developers by GDC reveals that 66% are currently developing projects for PC, surpassing other platforms significantly. This is a significant margin above the second most preferred platform, PS5, which came in at 35%. The PC is hailed as the “dominant platform,” even amid emerging contenders like the “Nintendo Switch successor” and “UGC platforms (Roblox, Minecraft).”

In essence, while the list of games purportedly coming to PC this year raises doubts about its legitimacy, the prevailing trend underscores the PC’s prominence in the gaming industry.
