The highly anticipated action RPG, Black Myth: Wukong, has launched a stunning new trailer ahead of its summer release. The game, developed by Chinese studio Game Science, is set to launch on August 20 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

And now with only three months until its release, the new trailer for Black Myth: Wukong has increased anticipation for what looks to be a major hit in the gaming industry.

New Black Myth Wukong Trailer Released

The new trailer was released as part of Tencent’s WeGame Tonight 2024 event held in China. The trailer clocks at 1:38, giving us another look at the amazing fighting scenes we already adore, introduces new bosses, and includes exciting cinematics.

From what we’ve seen in the footage, Black Myth: WuKong promises epic boss fights, just like in this trailer. The moves and combos shown are amazing, and we’re excited to play the game ourselves. The game still looks stunning visually, and it’s supposed to get even better before launch.

According to Lunatic Ignus, a reliable leaker who has been making predictions on Twitter, has shared some information regarding the game before pre-orders are open:

  • The game will have New Game+ at launch.
  • There will be multiple endings.
  • There are about 160 different enemy types.
  • There will be over 80 bosses.
  • The game is slightly easier than Souls games.

If you’re not too familiar with the game, Black Myth: Wukong is inspired by Chinese mythology and the famous story called Journey to the West. In the game, players become the “Destined One” and face different challenges while exploring. The goal is to discover the hidden truth behind a legendary tale from the past, as described by the game’s official description.

Game Science announced that Black Myth: WuKong will have full ray-tracing, called path tracing, which makes the lighting, shadows, and reflections top-notch. Moreover, Black Myth: WuKong is created with Unreal Engine 5, which means it’ll have awesome graphics and fun gameplay. Nvidia said the game will have path tracing and something called DLSS 3.5 support, which will make everything in the game look even more amazing and detailed.

Although it was originally planned for a 2023 release, the game was delayed to 2024 to make sure it was perfect. The newest trailer keeps the excitement high, showing the large, detailed world players will explore.
