The highly anticipated Arena Breakout Season 2: Battle for the Port update is on the horizon, and it’s set to bring a plethora of thrilling new content to the game. With the official release date slated for October 27, 2023, players can look forward to a host of exciting additions, including a brand-new map, an arsenal of powerful weapons, and the introduction of the Storm Warning mode.

Arena Breakout Season 2 Release Date and Time

To facilitate the Arena Breakout Season 2 update rollout, matchmaking will be temporarily paused on October 26 at 23:00 (UTC+0), and servers will be unavailable from 00:00 to 11:00 (UTC+0) on October 27.

1. The Port: A War-Torn City

The new battleground, aptly named The Port, is set in Guoyapos Bay City, a once-thriving naval base now reduced to a war-torn city due to the Kamona civil war. This environment promises unique exploration opportunities and an abundance of valuable loot for players to discover.

2. The Ultimate Gunsmith System

Season 2 introduces a range of formidable weapons, including the AN94, AEK, ACE31 assault rifles, DP12 shotgun, and M300 revolver. What’s more, players can now customize these firearms to suit their playstyle using the innovative Ultimate Gunsmith System.

3. Storm Warning Mode

Prepare for intense gameplay in Arena Breakout Season 2 with the new Storm Warning mode. The following are the complete Arena Breakout Season 2 patch notes:

New Season Rewards

1. After the New Season Login Gift event starts, complete the update from Oct. 27 – Nov. 02 (UTC+0) and log in to claim 60 coins from Events.
2. After the S2 update, from Oct. 27–29 only, you can claim a Universal Key. This key can open any locked door (except for rooms that require cards).

New Events

The Night of Terror-themed events have arrived!

Storm Warning [Oct. 27 – Nov. 09 (UTC+0)]

Visual conditions at the Farm will be dramatically transformed by the arrival of a thick fog. Enemies will use the dense fog to lurk and act stealthily. They will be quieter and extra cautious when patrolling outdoor areas. Some enemies will be carrying flashlight accessories, but remember, these can be a double-edged sword! Watch out for ambushes by enemy bosses Porrero and Ajax! 

Mysterious Tactical Squad [Oct. 27 – Nov. 09 (UTC+0)]

Visual conditions at the Farm will be dramatically transformed by the arrival of a thick fog. Members of mysterious tactical squads will be carrying flashlight accessories, but remember, these can be a double-edged sword! 

Coin Store [Oct. 27 – Nov. 09 (UTC+0)]

Pumpkin coins can appear in suitcases, sports backpacks, and cases in Storm Warning mode. Members of mysterious patrols and boss squads in Storm Warning mode also have a chance of carrying pumpkin coins. 

Fog of War [Oct. 27 – Nov. 09 (UTC+0)]

Complete missions to obtain the corresponding rewards. Also, log in for a set number of days to claim the corresponding rewards. Unclaimed rewards will be lost when the event ends, so don’t forget to claim them!  The New S2 Gun Incoming events have arrived!

Weapon Master [Oct. 27 – Nov. 23 (UTC+0)]

Claim the corresponding weapon when you select a challenge for the first time. You will not be able to reclaim the weapon if you abandon the challenge. Unclaimed rewards will be lost when the event ends, so don’t forget to claim them! 

Weapon Evaluation [Oct. 27 – Nov. 23 (UTC+0)]

Players using a weapon for the first time may evaluate its performance. Unclaimed rewards will be lost when the event ends, so don’t forget to claim them! 

Other Events

Road to Port [Oct. 27 – Nov. 09 (UTC+0)]

During the event, complete the Rodriguez Contact Missions to unlock the Port map ahead of everyone else and increase your combat activity. As the global combat activity increases, all players can claim the corresponding rewards and unlock the Port map. During the event, players who unlock the Port map ahead of time may also lead other players into the map as team captains. 

New Season Login Gift [Oct. 20 – Nov. 02 (UTC+0)]

New season! Log in on Oct. 27 to claim coins.

Map Updates

  1. New Map – Port: Play this map in either normal or Lockdown Zone mode, and check out the new helicopter extraction!
  2. Northridge Refresh: Checkpoint has been expanded to become the Camp Services zone, and the Observation Deck is now the Cable Car Station.
  3. Extraction point switches are now marked to help players find them.
  4. There was an attempt to move the safe in the Motel corridor out of the Farm, but it appears the armored car crashed under the Broken Bridge.

  1. Assault rifles: AN-94 (5.45×39), AEK (7.62×39), ACE 31 (7.62×39), and SCAR-L (5.56×45)

New Tactical Items + Changes

  1. The new X300U-A tactical flashlight can be fitted on a laser sight to enhance your tactical capabilities at night.
  2. Adjustments made to the shape of the smoke from the M18 smoke grenade for a more natural look.
  3. Improvements made to the blinding effect of the M84 flashbang.
  4. Improvements to decoy grenade: Footsteps generated by the decoy now have a random rhythm, and decoy sounds differ depending on the material it’s placed on.

New System Features and Improvements

  1. Kit Builder: Recommends equipment based on a budget you set.
  2. Quick Kit: Use kit coupons to quickly gear up before entering the Dark Zone.
  3. Tactical Draw: Tactical Draw action can be triggered when player switches from their primary weapon to their secondary weapon.
  4. World Chat Translate: Allows players to translate text from another player based on one’s selected language settings.
  5. Chat channels in local languages.
  6. Leaderboards added.
  7. Personalization options, including outfits, badges, dog tags, etc.
  8. Share Rating function and improvements made to Share Rating History.
  9. Map selection layout.
  10. Armory Interior map (levels B1 and B2 can now be accessed).

Balance Adjustments

Tactical Items

  1. Reduced the maximum lethal range for M67 frag grenade, Mk 2 frag grenade, and GHO 2 offensive grenade.
  2. Slight extension of the fuse time for the M67, Mk 2, and GHO 2 grenades.
  3. Adjustments made to the distribution of damage caused by the Molotov cocktail to various parts of the body: damage caused to the legs increased.
  4. Smoke grenade effect on soundprints: When the player is inside a smoke screen generated from a smoke grenade, the refresh interval of their soundprint becomes longer, making it more difficult for other players to locate them through sound.

Weapons

  1. Adjustments made to the weight of various melee weapons.
  2. G18C pistol rate of fire lowered.
  3. Adjustments made to camera shake amplitude when the F2000, VSS, AR-57, MDR, and MPX are being fired.
  4. Dampened the horizontal recoil control of the F2000.
  5. Gun shield for the RPK light machine gun.
  6. Adjustments made to movement speed while holding the M4A1, SVDS, VSS, Mk14, M110, and USAS-12.
  7. Slight adjustments made to the recoil from the first few shots fired with the MP5, MPX, FAL, M4A1, H416, and F2000.
  8. Reduced the weight of certain Mk14 accessories.

Ammo

  • Adjustments made to the recoil stabilization for the 7.62x39mm HP, 5.56x45mm 55 HP Hunting, 9x19mm Dumdum, 5.7x28mm R37.F, and 5.45x39mm HP ammo.
  • Adjustments made to the armor damage of the 7.62x39mm ammo.
  • Adjustments made to the armor damage and recoil stabilization of the 7.62x51mm UN, BPZ, M80, and M62 ammo.

Equipment

  1. Enhanced the damage reduction effects of high-tier armor (class IV, V, and VI) against frag grenades.
  2. Adjustments made to armor protection capabilities: Higher-tier armor now offers better protection even when durability levels are low.
  3. Reduced the sound blocking effect of helmets.

Character Movement

  1. Stamina expenditure when moving uphill (including stairs) increased slightly.
  2. Jump-and-shoot mechanic rework: lowered weapon stability for highly modified weapons when players jump and shoot.
  3. Upper-body stamina is expended when firing with high-caliber weapons.

Soundprints and Sound Effects

  1. Smaller soundprints are now refreshed at a longer interval.
  2. Sound effects for when other players are firing now differ depending on whether they are firing indoor or outdoors.

Other Improvements and Fixes

  1. Fixed the actual rate of fire of the M16 3-round burst being lower than the ROF displayed, as well as the issue of overly slow movement speed when ADS is engaged.
  2. Addressed many issues of characters getting stuck after falling, while standing, or in prone position.
  3. Error display in the map screen.
  4. Fixed issue where weapons or equipment won’t display in the storage interface during raids.
  5. The issue of characters getting pushed off and eliminated after being “”squeezed out”” by object models or teammates.
  6. The issue where when a player throws a grenade with their right hand it switches to the left, and in some scenarios, the grenade bounces back and causes damage to the player.
  7. Fixed AI squads on Armory passing through the door at the extraction switch after flipping it.
  8. The issue of the character flying upwards instead of landing when climbing over an object.
  9. Various video display errors during kill cam.
  10. AI units randomly firing when they are blinded.
  11. Improvements made to trigger conditions for climbing/climbing over objects.
  12. Improvements made to camera jitter motion at the end of sprints.
  13. Improvements made to animation for when the character is sprinting with a melee weapon.
  14. Improvements made to animation for switching to firearms during melee weapon inspection.
  15. Grenade friendly-fire toggle: Players can now choose to “forgive” teammates who have caused damage to them by accident.
  16. Friends from platforms limit raised to 500.
  17. Improvements made to footstep sound effects for footsteps on rock, soil, and sand surfaces.
  18. Improvements made to soundprint display: Fixed the issue of abnormal soundprint refresh intervals in some cases.
