A new game called Captain Laserhawk Niji Warrior seems to have been leaked by PEGI, the organization that rates games in Europe. The game received a PEGI-12 rating as of January 2024, and there’s a brief description of what the game might be about.
Captain Laserhawk Niji Warrior Receives a PEGI Rating
The new game Captain Laserhawk Niji Warrior, which is a spin-off of Far Cry and inspired by the Netflix show Captain Laserhawk, has been rated PEGI-12. This means it is suitable for players aged 12 and up.
According to the PEGI website, Captain Laserhawk Niji Warrior is centered around laser battles where the objective is to eliminate the most opponents.
“Captain Laserhawk Niji Warrior” is described as a multiplayer PvP title where players engage in laser deathmatches to score eliminations. Despite characters bleeding when shot, their reactions to damage are deemed unrealistic, and players break into pieces upon getting hit.
The PEGI rating suggests the inclusion of in-game purchases for cosmetics, a common practice in modern gaming, especially for Ubisoft. Although specific details about the cosmetics are lacking, it’s expected they’ll align with the cyberware aesthetic of Captain Laserhawk or possibly reference other Ubisoft titles, given the show’s tendency to include nods to the company’s history.
Captain Laserhawk is a character from Ubisoft’s show called Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix on Netflix. Blood Dragon is a spin-off of Far Cry 3, and it recently gained attention with the TV show. The person who made it is Adi Shankar, and you might know him from working on Castlevania: Nocturne. The show came out on Netflix in October 2023 and people really liked it, both fans and critics.
The “Niji Warrior” part of the title refers to the Niji 6, a team in the Captain Laserhawk TV show. These characters are linked to Rainbow Six, as they represent different colors of the rainbow, and “Niji” means “rainbow” in Japanese.
