Crash Bandicoot and several other Activision Games will reportedly be coming to Xbox Game Pass in the month of August.
Several new reports have claimed that Activision games will start to arrive on Xbox Game Pass this August. This info was first shared by eXtas1s on the eXputer forums, however, what made this rumor more reliable was when WindowsCentral’s Jez Corden corroborated it.
Crash Bandicoot and Other Activision Games Reportedly Coming to Game Pass in August
eXtas1s, a source with a mixed track record has claimed that beloved titles like Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 remake and the Spyro Reignited Trilogy will soon be available on the Xbox subscription service.
Further supporting eXtas1s’ claims Jez Corden revealed that Microsoft gradually plans to introduce Activision’s back catalog to Game Pass rather than releasing it all at once. This approach aims to keep the platform’s offerings fresh and continually engaging for subscribers. And according to Corden, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is another game that is set to join Game Pass in August.
This collection was a massive hit upon its initial release, topping the UK sales charts for eight consecutive weeks and selling an estimated 20 million units worldwide as of June 2024. Hence, fans are quite excited about this addition. But a major point of curiosity for many fans is the inclusion of older Call of Duty games on Game Pass.
This has been a popular request since Microsoft finalized its $69 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard in October 2023 and adding these classics to the service could reignite interest in some of the franchise’s best-loved entries.
Though we don’t know much about the games on that front, we do know that Diablo 4 became the first Activision Blizzard game to join Game Pass in March 2024, and, Black Ops 6 will be the first Call of Duty title to launch directly on Game Pass in October 2024. So we do have some hopes.
Overall, the upcoming addition of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2, and Spyro Reignited Trilogy to Game Pass is great news for fans, and it would be fair to say that we expect more high-quality games in the coming months.
