Genshin Impact‘s developers, miHoYo, have started the application process for the next Private Beta Test, which fans knew was coming all along because of the plethora of leaks on this topic. This is Genshin Impact 3.0 beta, which will have the Sumeru region. This post will act as a guide for registration.
Process to sign up for the Genshin Impact 3.0 Beta Test
- First, join the official Discord server of Genshin Impact, and get to the #genshin-announcements channel. There you will find a Genshin Impact 3.0 beta sign-up form.
- If you are joining the server just now, then you will need to verify your phone number and acquire a role before you are granted access to all the channels.
- If you don’t do this, and even if you fill out the form available at this link, your Genshin Impact 3.0 beta application will be automatically dismissed.
- The age restriction is 18 years. You need to be 18+ in age to access the Genshin Impact 3.0 Beta Test. Minors are not allowed to participate.
- Of course, a valid ID proof will need to be furnished. A passport or a driver’s license will work.
Lastly, you need to remember the deadline for Genshin Impact 3.0 beta registration is this Sunday, June 12, 2022, at 3 PM PST, 6 PM EST, and 11 PM BST.
Surprisingly, the deadline has been extended from the usual two days to five days. This could mean that the developers want to have more players than usual for the Genshin Impact 3.0 Beta Test. And this is probably because this update is a huge one because an entirely new region is going to be added to the game.

What will players get in Genshin Impact 3.0 beta?
To begin with, we have the Sumeru region in the upcoming Genshin Impact 3.0 beta as per the leaker.

The first real mention of the Sumeru region came in Genshin Impact 2.6 in which was added The Chasm area. Here we got to see a lot of aspects of the storyline of the Sumeru region.
In the land of Teyvat, there are 7 regions, and Sumeru is the 4th one. It is situated some distance to the west of Liyue and this is the place where we encounter the Dendro archon. This means that the element Dendro will be getting some playable characters, like Baizhu, at last. Also, characters that originated from Sumero will be released.
And finally, looking at the pattern of releasing content set by the developers regarding Archon characters, then Kusanali, who is the Dendro archon, will be released in Genshin Impact Version 3.1.
Just keep in mind that when Genshin Impact was first released back in September of 2020, it was confirmed that all the remaining archon characters were going to be female characters.

In case you are thinking something is amiss, this is it. The Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) is a compulsory document those who are chosen for the Beta Test need to sign. The NDA is exactly what it sounds like. The chosen players are proscribed to share any gameplay clips, screenshots, or any other detail from the Beta Test.
So you cannot leak anything from the Genshin Impact 3.0 beta at all.
Being a player in the Beta Test is like volunteering for community work. They give you some content and you are to give your honest feedback on it so that the developers know about any details they may have missed.
And don’t think the developers won’t catch on if you do leak some stuff. They collect pretty much every data about the players relevant to this and they are very good at tracking down someone who has leaked anything at all, the same would be the case with Genshin Impact 3.0 Beta.
