A leaked map of Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6), the highly anticipated open-world game from Rockstar Games, was discovered online. The game’s fans went into a frenzy when they saw the leaked images of the GTA 6 map, which included “expansive landscapes” and new regions compared to GTA 5.
A proposed GTA 6 map was recently shared on the web media, revealing an extensive, intricately detailed open world reminiscent of Red Dead Redemption 2’s depth.
Shared by Reddit user DuPz0r, this map is a rough sketch, crafted based on leaked clips. The dark green regions indicate undisclosed areas, while the map’s size is compared to that of GTA V.
DuPz0r estimated the map’s size by deducing distances from the coordinates visible in the clips. However, the user stated that the map contains speculative details, especially in coastal regions where the coastline’s specifics are uncertain, marked in orange.
Meanwhile, another user named Fido_le_muet created another basic GTA 6 map world, devoid of speculative elements. However, this version hasn’t been updated recently and may lack accuracy.
Talking about the proposed GTA 6 maps, a fan said, “I’ve been looking for this for a while! This is most likely the closest map to the actual thing! It’s fun skimming through the leaked clips and trying to find the real-life locations on Google Maps. They indeed all match up and in-game distances also match up nicely with the map above,” whereas another stated, “It looks a good 2x the size there or thereabouts. I know people think the hype will disappoint us. But Rockstar has never failed before. This game is going to be insane. There is absolutely no question about it. “
With its expansive map of the made-up state of San Andreas, Grand Theft Auto V has already provided a variety of environments, including beaches, mountains, and cities. Moreover, a new island called Cayo Perico, which is devoted to a heist, was added to Grand Theft Auto Online in a December 2020 update. And based on leaks, it is expected that the rumored GTA 6 map will be even more expansive than the one in GTA 5.
Industry insiders like Tom Henderson predict that the dynamic changes in Fortnite’s seasonal upgrades will be replicated in the upcoming GTA 6 map, which will grow and change. Then a few reports published in July 2021 by the Video Games Chronicle and Jason Schreier of Bloomberg confirmed these allegations.
Now, even though Rockstar ultimately controls the course of these changes, the rumors also point to a modernized Vice City and promising future improvements for Grand Theft Auto players.
Well, nothing compares to opening a brand-new map in a top-tier game and embarking on your first exploration. Moreover, it will be extremely fantastic if that is the full size of the GTA 6 map when it is released.
Though the first GTA 6 trailer is expected to be released in early December 2023, as announced by Rockstar Games, the wait for final confirmation will surely be long.
