Spider-Man 2, a super popular superhero game on the PS5, sold a ton of copies in just one day. People were waiting for it to come to PC, but a data breach made that happen sooner than expected.
Last month, Insomniac, the game’s developer, got hit by a big cyber attack. After that, some tech-savvy fans started working on bringing Spider-Man 2 to PC unofficially. They finished it, and now you can play Spider-Man 2 on PC if you know where to find it. It seems like there’s already a Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 PC Port version floating around online through a torrent.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 PC Port Unofficially Released
PC Focus recently reported that the game’s team has released a playable PC version, but it comes with a hefty storage requirement of 256GB for the full game. A Twitter user shared gameplay snippets from the PC port, and modders managed to run the game without textures. The full build, however, supposedly includes everything in a decent state.
Remarkably, the team accomplished this feat in just over a month. Despite the quick release, the PC port is not flawless, and users may encounter graphical glitches and bugs absent in the official version.
PC Focus claims that a torrent containing the entire game along with patches, shaders, and collision files has been uploaded to a torrent server. However, the rising popularity of the game may lead Sony to take action to remove it from the internet.
Recently, Insomniac Games had some serious problems when a group of hackers broke into their system and demanded money. This caused a lot of trouble, like the unofficial PC version of their game being leaked. Also, details about their upcoming games and when they’ll be released were shared online. One piece of info said that the Spider-Man 2 game will have three extra parts you can buy later.
That being said, the Spider-Man 2 game might come to PC officially around early 2025, according to leaks. Even though the leaked version might be tempting, it’s better to wait for the official release to enjoy the game in its best form on PC.
