Patrick Mahomes’ Journey to Become a Successful NFL QB

In the Netflix series “Quarterback,” Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes revealed that his childhood dream was actually to become a professional baseball player, following in the footsteps of his father.

Despite his immense success in National Football League, Mahomes initially harbored aspirations of playing the sport he grew up loving. However, fate had different plans for him, and he eventually found his calling on the football field, where he achieved remarkable accomplishments, becoming one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL with multiple Super Bowl victories, MVP awards, and a historic record-breaking contract.

What Does Patrick Mahomes’ Father Have to Say?

According to Patrick Mahomes’ father, Mahomes initially aspired to be a baseball player, influenced by his dad’s own career in the sport.

However, if baseball didn’t work out, Mahomes had an interest in pursuing a career in law. It wasn’t until his junior year in high school when Mahomes started playing quarterback that his passion for football truly ignited.

The experience of playing under the Friday night lights in Texas at the varsity level was when Mahomes fell in love with the game, ultimately leading him down the path to becoming a highly successful NFL quarterback.

Can Patrick Mahomes Out Do Tom Brady in Football?

Even though it seems unlikely, there is a small chance that Patrick Mahomes could become the best quarterback of all time, beating out Tom Brady. Mahomes has been considered one of the best quarterbacks in the league for the past five years, and his impressive achievements in just six seasons are unmatched.

At 27 years old, Mahomes has already amassed 24,241 yards, 192 touchdowns, and 49 interceptions, with two league MVPs, two Super Bowl wins, and five Pro Bowl selections.

In comparison, at the same age, Brady had 8,035 yards, 123 touchdowns, and 66 interceptions, along with three Super Bowl victories and two MVP awards. If Mahomes continues to play at a high level until the age of 46, like Brady, it’s likely that he will surpass Brady’s statistical records.

Additionally, if he adds more league MVPs and Super Bowl victories to his resume, Mahomes could make a case for being the greatest of all time.
