Atlus has scheduled the eagerly awaited Persona 6 for 2025, along with Persona 5X and another Persona project called “ASA” for 2024, according to a well-known leaker.

Recent information on Twitter from @MbKKssTBhz5, who has a particularly strong reputation for revealing Atlus’ plans, stated that “Persona Metaphor and Persona Asa will be released in 2024. Then Persona 5X will be released next year, and there will be tests in other regions too. Moreover, there is an SMT title being worked on and Persona 6 will be released in 2025.”

Persona ASA is believed to be a “party” game gathering characters from all mainline Persona games, while Persona 5X is presumed to be a reimagining of Persona 5 specifically for mobile devices.

According to this leaker, 2024 will revolve around “Metaphor: ReFantazio,” a fantastical RPG announced earlier. It’s expected to arrive alongside a project codenamed ‘Asa’. They’ve also teased an English release for Persona 5X, although no specific date has been shared. As for Persona 6, it’s aimed for a 2025 release, but the official announcement timing is yet to be decided.

Persona 6 is currently slated for release in 2025.

The leaked schedule of Atlus’ Presona projects appears plausible at first look, especially with the recent release of Persona 3 Reload on February 2nd. However, this means the wait for the next core Persona game will be a lengthy one. It’s worth noting that the original Persona 5 launched back in 2016, and since then, we’ve seen enhanced re-releases and spinoffs but no new mainline title.

Interestingly, the leaker doesn’t mention the long-speculated Persona 5-based fighting game that’s been the subject of various leaks over time. It’s a waiting game to see if that rumor resurfaces anytime soon.

Going back to July 2023, this same leaker had claimed that Atlus aimed to release Persona 6 within three years and that a new Persona fighting game was in the works.

They also mentioned a project tentatively called Persona Asa, which supposedly brings together the protagonists from Persona 1 to 5, offering co-op features and activities like “shooting” and even hinting at the possibility of racing, though that’s not confirmed. The leaker also hinted that there are no other remakes akin to Persona 3 Reload currently in development. Still, there’s a strong desire at Atlus to create a remake for Persona 1 and 2.

But let’s keep in mind, that these are rumors and speculation. It’s always wise to wait for official announcements.

For now, Persona 3 Reload is on track for its release on February 2nd across various platforms, including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Windows and Steam. The game is set to feature a revamped battle system compared to the original Persona 3.
