Following the end of the Unrivaled Rillaboom Tera Raids in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, each transferable Starter Pokemon had its own seven-star Tera Raid. Now, fans are eagerly anticipating the next raid event, and a Legendary Tera Raid involving Mewtwo might be just around the corner.
CentroLeaks, a known dataminer in the Pokemon community shared a Japanese Nintendo Switch Online advertisement featuring the unannounced Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Mewtwo Tera Raid, hinting that it could be revealed during the upcoming 35-minute Pokemon Presents on Aug. 8, as suggested by insiders.
If the leaked image is accurate, the Tera Raid Mewtwo will possess the Psychic Tera Type, making its Psychic attacks even more powerful. And if so, players may want to bring along a Dark-type counter to tackle this formidable opponent.

Past Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Mewtwo Tera Raid Leaks
This is not the first time rumors of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Mewtwo Tera Raid have surfaced. In June, an image of Mewtwo with the Mightiest Mark, an exclusive mark for seven-star Tera Raid bosses like Rillaboom, Greninja, and Charizard, was leaked.
Additionally, in July 2023, a Twitter user named mattyoukhana discovered in-game dialogue related to the mythical Pokemon Mew, hinting at its involvement in a Tera Raid with a seven-star Mewtwo. Well-known Pokemon data miner Sibuna_Switch further investigated and found that the dialogue triggered when Mew faced off against Mewtwo in a Tera Raid.
Notably, Mew was the only Pokemon to receive the Mightiest Ribbon reward if it managed to defeat Mewtwo in the raid. Meanwhile, Mew’s debut in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet has also been leaked, indicating its connection to Tera Raids.
According to the leaks, Mew won’t be a raid boss like Mewtwo but can be used as a powerful counter for Tera Raids, receiving significant buffs at the beginning of the battle that normal Pokemon don’t get.
With the highly anticipated Pokemon Presents event just days away, fans are excited to see if more information about Mewtwo, Mew, and future Tera Raids will be revealed.
