Rainbow Six Siege X Leak Exposes Operation Prep Phase Details: Updated UI, Elite Skins, and Map Reworks

Big changes are coming to Rainbow Six Siege with the Siege X update. A recent leak gives us an early look at what’s on the way, including a brand-new user interface, awesome Elite skins, and some major map reworks.

But that’s not all—players will also get to try out Rauora, a fresh attacker from New Zealand who’s bringing some exciting new gameplay mechanics.

There’s a lot to unpack, so let’s dive into what’s coming next.

Rainbow Six Siege’s next major update, Siege X, is set to be unveiled on March 13, 2025, at 10 AM PT / 6 PM CET during the Rainbow Six Siege X Showcase, streamed live on Ubisoft’s Twitch channel.

A recent leak from the Rainbow Six Leaks Discord server has given fans an early look at the Siege X update’s main menu.

The screenshot shows a fresh “Operation Prep Phase” label for Year 10 Season 2, which could mean some big changes to how the preparation phase works. It also includes a battle pass tracker and a challenge system, making progression feel more connected.

One of the biggest additions is Rauora, a brand-new operator from New Zealand. She brings a game-changing gadget—the D.O.M. Launcher, which places bulletproof panels in doorways to control movement and sightlines. Some classic maps, like Chalet and Border, are getting a fresh look with visual and gameplay improvements.

The leak also shows off a sleek blue and gold armor set, a high-tech Black Eye camera skin, and a glowing blue MPX weapon design.

The bright colors have got players talking, with some worried it might stand out too much in matches.

Rainbow Six Siege X Chalet and Border Map Reworks

Also, Rainbow Six Siege is getting some big map changes in the upcoming X update. Leaked images show that Chalet and Border are getting another rework, with a big focus on lighting.

Chalet, set in the snowy French Alps, already got a makeover back in 2020, tweaking both its interior and exterior. Border, the fast-paced map in the Middle East, had its own update in 2021 to improve balance.

Now, the latest leaks hint at even more adjustments, especially in lighting, to make everything clearer and improve the gameplay experience.
