Elden Ring DLC Section Has Been Updated Again
Following the trend of continuous updates to the Elden Ring files, the Elden Ring DLC Section was once again updated on Feb 2nd and is now on Dev-Debug.
Also, we have the Bandai Namco fiscal report for the 3rd quarter of FY2024 on Feb 14th, preceded by the Kadokawa report on Feb 8th, so we’d probably find out if the DLC is coming before or after April then.
ORIGINAL STORY
Shadow Of The Erdtree DLC might get released in February 2024, suggests new backend updates to the DLC page, and a past Elden Ring X Thrustmaster collab leak.
The Elden Ring DLC update on Steam’s backend suggests that the release of Shadow of the Erdtree may happen very soon.
Ziostorm, an X/Twitter user and Elden Ring YouTuber shared a screenshot of a new application that had been added to the Downloadable Content area of Elden Ring’s Steam page for the first time since launch, pointing out the change on SteamDB’s page for Elden Ring.
They said, “I’m not saying it’s 100% Shadow of the Erdtree but there’s a pretty good chance it is,” and others agreed.
This information further stokes an earlier rumor, since a leaked collaboration between Thrustmaster, the creator of accessories, and Bandai Namco, the publisher of Elden Ring, also hinted at a February release date for Shadow of the Erdtree.
On December 15th, a new controller appeared in a Philippine chain store. DataBlitz showcased the “ESWAP X II PRO CONTROLLER ELDEN RING LIMITED EDITION.” However, what really caught fans’ attention in the now-deleted page was the mention of a “sync with new ‘SHADOW OF THE ERDTREE’ Expansion release – Elden Ring Anniversary/February 2024” and a hint at a “major keybeat or new game expansion in 2025.”
While the post initially indicated a collaboration, further details on the page revealed some very interesting information. It stated that the ESWAP controller was set to coincide with the release of Shadow of the Erdtree – in February 2024 (aka Elden Ring Anniversary). Additionally, it hinted at future collaborations in 2025, potentially involving significant key beats or expansions.

Now many of you must be wondering that if Shadow of the Erdtree actually comes out in February, then why didn’t the devs show it off at The Game Awards 2023? Well, is it possible that the announcement is planned for February. Also, past FromSoft DLCs used to come out within 2 months of the announcement.
- Released in November 2015, Old Hunters was first revealed in September 2015.
- The book Ashes of Ariandel was released in October 2016 after being announced in August.
- Released in March 2017, Ringed City was first revealed in January 2017.
So it’s not entirely impossible. But with all the latest leaks surrounding Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, it’s best to wait for new and official announcements from From Software.
Hopefully, additional information will become available soon, especially if Steam is getting ready to add content to the game, whether it’s Shadow of the Erdtree in the end or something else.
