He made it clear that while they’ll still make games for the current Switch, the new console needs its own exclusive titles to really take off.

On top of that, Nintendo isn’t just relying on its own games. It’s working with third-party developers to grow the Switch 2’s game library. Reports hint that Final Fantasy VII Remake, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater are all in the works for the system.
