Sumo Digital, the studio known for its titles like Team Sonic Racing and LittleBigPlanet 3, has three unannounced games under development, reveals new reports.
The info first noticed by @GamesCage_ comes from the LinkedIn profile of a Sumo Digital employee, who mentioned working on three unannounced games in their description section.
In the now tweaked project section, for the role of Associated with Sumo Digital Ltd, Chris Rea stated:
“Reusing the engine for Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed I hold responsibility for the continued maintenance and development of the engine which is currently in use for 3 unannounced titles and recently used for Team Sega Racing and Hot Shot Racing developed by Sumo Nottingham. My contribution includes, co-development of a replacement rendering library facilitating support for modern graphical features, introducing support for next gen consoles (PS5 + Xbox Series S/X) including adding support for DX12, introduction of an ECS system to facilitate a more data orientated design approach, a dependency management system to allow easy multi-threading of dependent systems, an updated thread aware memory management system, and a fiber based job system.”
Well, while the specific details about these games remain undisclosed, it’s certainly intriguing for gaming fans as Sumo Digital is known for its work on various titles.
Fans are hoping that these titles are Sonic & All-Stars Racing 3, New Little Big Planet or Sackboy game, Hotshot Racing 2, and OutRun 3. It is also possible that one of these unannounced games is Project Carbon from that leaked Sony document a couple of years back. However, we don’t know anything for sure as of now.
While we don’t have all the details yet, it’s exciting to see what Sumo Digital has in store for gamers.
