LEGO Fortnite is a combination of those two things that seem like they’d never go together but they’re put together, it’s mind-blowing. Thus it is that LEGO Fortnite has quickly jumped to the most famous games in the world at the moment. But the developers aren’t done yet. They have more surprises in store for us as we await the beginning of the new year.
There have been whisperings here and there on the internet about what the 2024 update would bring to the goofy world of LEGO Fortnite. Let’s take a look!
LEGO Fortnite 2024 Update Leaks
A lot of aspects of LEGO Fortnite will receive upgrades at the beginning of 2024. From the way you trade items to how you bash peoples’ heads in, from what experiences you have in the wonky world to how you get around from place to place, everything will be as fresh as the new year.
New traders are coming to town!
@HappyPower confirms that business will be booming in the new year in LEGO Fortnite. The leak says three new trader NPCs will be offering players new resources and trading items. No two of these three traders will deal in the same niche. However, we don’t know if this will require a game-specific currency or not. But the gist of it is that you will be exchanging “junk” items for useful and interesting resources and tidbits.
This will add a much-needed aspect of commerce to the game. Find below a list of all three traders and their special powers:
- Wolf: “I’m called Wolf… I’m in the business of trading everything necessary for construction.” This guy trades in construction materials
- Fox: “The name is Fox. If you’re hungry, I’ll sell you some snacks!” You’ll find food and consumables with Fox.
- Raccoon: “My name is Raccoon. If you bring me some nice junk, I’ll exchange it for all kinds of junk!” Raccoon is eager to hand you resources for “junk” items.
Zip around on ziplines!
There are many exciting biomes and POIs to explore in LEGO Fortnite. But you can’t do it properly if it takes you ages to get from one to the next. The developers were acutely aware of this problem and they’ve come up with another brilliant answer to it – you guessed it – ziplines.
The rumors have it that players will be able to construct zipline routes that will allow them to traverse wide terrains as quickly as the crow flies, literally and figuratively. Plus, this will afford travelers breathtaking vistas along the way.
Tame terrifying beasts with powerful weapons!
If we are being real, we can’t say players are satisfied with only constructing stuff in LEGO Fortnite. The bloodlust of these hardened battle royale fans does not settle for anything less than gory ways of gutting the enemies. Bearing these people in mind, the developers seem to be adding some cool LEGO Fortnite weapons to the arsenal in the new year.
- Catapult weapons: Throw projectiles (like rocks) at your detested opponents and their structures to ground them to dust.
- Stud Gun rifle: This is an automatic ranged weapon for carnage-crazed players.
- Bow: A skill-based ranged weapon for those who prefer to savor their kills.
- Gravity Gun: You can play it safe with the Gravity Gun by picking up random objects and then throwing them at the opponents.
Newer resources for richer experiences!
Quality-of-life experiences are also getting a facelift in LEGO Fortnite. Here they are:
- Compass: Players won’t get lost trying to see the world.
- More wildlife mobs: The more, the merrier, right? New mobs, like a Bettle, Bear, etc., will be available to players soon.
- New food/consumables: What’s a party without food? The leaks say the new food options grant temporary beneficial effects in addition to satisfying hunger. A combination could be apples and dark apple juices which upon consumption grant you increased jump height for some time. There will also be pumpkin pear pie that not only reduces hunger pangs but also deals more damage to enemies at consumption.

Out of all the Fortnite versions, this is the most iconic representation of the battle royale title. It takes the biggest USP of LEGO – building – and throws it together with the bloodlust of Fortnite players. You can create buildings and battle alongside your favorite characters to your – and theirs – death. You can tend to llamas during the day and flee from skeleton zombies at night.
