In November 2025, people who love strategy games are gonna be super excited. Two big games from the StarCraft series are coming to PC Game Pass: StarCraft Remastered and StarCraft 2. And guess what? You can play them starting from November 5, 2024, if you have a Game Pass.

Phil Spencer, the boss of Microsoft Gaming, announced this at the Xbox Tokyo Game Show in 2024. Both these games are really famous and fun if you like to think and plan your moves in games. You get to control one of three different groups: humans called Terrans, super-advanced aliens called Protoss, or creepy, bug-like creatures called Zerg. The goal is to collect resources, build up your army, and beat your enemies in battles, all while being in a cool sci-fi universe.

StarCraft Remastered

StarCraft Remastered is a polished version of the original StarCraft game from 1998, which was a big deal in the world of strategy games. People loved it for its awesome multiplayer mode and exciting single-player campaigns. The remastered version also includes its expansion called Brood War, which made it even better.

StarCraft 2

StarCraft 2 came out in 2010, and it’s split into three parts, each focusing on a different group. The first part is Wings of Liberty, where you play as the Terrans. Then there’s Heart of the Swarm, which is all about the Zerg, and finally, Legacy of the Void, which focuses on the Protoss. This way, the story is super detailed, and fans just loved it. Now, with Game Pass, you can play through all these story parts without paying extra.

While the multiplayer part of StarCraft 2 has been free for a while, now Game Pass users will get full access to all the story modes too. So if you haven’t tried these classic games yet but love strategy, this is the perfect chance.

Well, Microsoft bought Activision Blizzard in 2023, and that’s how they’re able to add StarCraft to PC Game Pass November 2024 now. Before this, they’d already added some other Blizzard games like Diablo 4 and Call of Duty to Game Pass. They’ve also got other popular strategy games on there, like Age of Empires, so adding StarCraft makes their collection even stronger.

Overall, for anyone who enjoys strategy games, November is the month for you as StarCraft is a must-play. It’s got super deep gameplay and great stories that have made it a classic over the years. Whether you’ve been a fan for a long time or are just starting, Game Pass makes it easy to try out these amazing games.
