Genshin Impact Wriothesley, according to recent 3.6 leaks, may be one of the game’s upcoming playable characters.
Normally, a new 5-star character is introduced with every new Genshin update, but occasionally, we also get a 4-star character. It is not necessary that a new character will only be introduced in a patch update because miHoYo has already released Genshin Impact characters outside of this strategy.
Even though there are currently quite a few Genshin characters listed, many more are anticipated to come over the coming days. A couple of these characters have already been properly introduced, including Mika, Baizhu, and Kaveh.
As there have already been a few leaks indicating the inclusion of these unpublished Genshin Impact characters in the game, including Wriothesley, a new datamined character likely to appear in the next update, there is a lot of expectation for their arrival.

Genshin Impact Wriothesley leaks
Another Genshin Impact character who sticks out enough to be noticed is the aforementioned Wriothesley, especially now that the 3.6 beta has begun.
Like with a few other alleged characters, Wriothesley hasn’t been addressed in the game, so it’s tough to speculate about their personalities or roles. However, certain in-game files for Wriothesley were found during the most recent Genshin Impact 3.6 leaks, which led some gamers to believe that he would be a playable character in the main Genshin Impact game.
@merlin_impact, a well-known Genshin Impact leaker, posted fresh information on their Twitter account, claiming that there is a new upcoming character called “Wriothesley.” The leaker stated, “CN name is 莱欧斯利 EN name is Wriothesley. He has fontane vision shape. I very much doubt it’s Varka”
In terms of Genshin Impact Wriothesley’s appearance, there were leaks on Varka’s model which revealed that he has a feather near his shoulder on the left side. The color scheme is red + black with gray pants. He has visible abs but is covered by clothes. However, correcting this, Mero revealed that rather than Varka, this is Wriothesley’s appearance.
Moreover, soon after the leak, fan art was created which got a 7.5-8/10 rating from another renowned leaker, @77__oat.
Soon after the fanart, one player pointed out that it was Adam Expy that was talked about a while back.

Genshin Impact Wriothesley name and vision
Fans started the speculation and supposition game and offered numerous theories shortly after uploading a few leaks.
One fan said, “Made a quick research, and it [Wriothesley] seems to be the surname of an important politician under the reign of Henri VIII. He was the lord privy seal and lord chancellor. So far it seems that all the Fontaine characters’ names we know are real person’s surnames: Soutine (first name Chaim), Neuvillette (Christian), and now Wriothesley (Thomas). That was probably intentional and very interesting.”
However, @merlin_impact pointed out that Wriothesley is a British name.
Adding to this, the leaker also revealed that currently, Wriothesley has a Cryo vision, however, it is too early to be sure on this, as the character is still in development.
If he isn’t completely canceled, fans will undoubtedly learn more about this new Genshin Wriothesley character in the upcoming months, but names are always subject to change.

Genshin Impact Wriothesley release date
Although miHoYo has continued to remain silent regarding the official Genshin Impact Wriothesley release date, the leaks about the character haven’t ceased.
Wriothesley is not currently a playable character in Genshin Impact, but this does not necessarily mean that miHoYo does not want to introduce the character in a later update. Several characters, like Yelan, Heizou, Sacarmouche, and others, have appeared in the Genshin Impact as a result of datamining the beta files.
There isn’t much information known about Wriothesley’s release date other than the fact that he won’t be featured in the next Genshin Impact Version 3.6 update, as HoYoverse has already identified Baizhu and Kaveh as the two new characters who will join the playable roster in the 3.6 update.
Collei was originally just a name for a playable character who was part of a manga before gamers became familiar with her appearance, so there is always a chance that there may be more Genshin Wriothesley leaks on the way.
