Far Cry 7 Will Star Cillian Murphy As Villian – New Leak Debunked
The original leaker, who tweeted a photo of Cillian Murphy along with multiple other photographs, stated that the actor will not be appearing in Far Cry 7. @xj0nathan provided an update, saying, “Mind you, I NEVER said Cillian Murphy was going to be in the game. The image means something else.”
Far Cry 7 Will Star Cillian Murphy As Villian Claims New Leaks
According to the reputable leaker j0nathan, known for accurate leaks regarding Ubisoft projects like Assassin’s Creed Mirage, there’s a possibility that Cillian Murphy could be joining the ranks of Michael Mando from Better Call Saul and Giancarlo Esposito from Breaking Bad as the next big baddie in the upcoming Far Cry 7 game.
In a mysterious tweet, j0nathan shared a series of images featuring Murphy, a crab, dynamite with a 72-hour countdown, and the number “7”. Some users have attempted to decode this message and have concluded that Cillian Murphy might be taking on a significant role in Far Cry 7. Accompanying the images, j0nathan cryptically wrote in French: “If nothing changes by then”.
Speculation about Far Cry 7, codenamed Project Blackbird, began circulating in September 2023, suggesting a “non-linear” storyline centered around the hero’s family kidnapping, which must be resolved within 72 in-game hours, equivalent to 24 hours in real-time. Therefore, the presence of the number “7” and the 72-hour countdown immediately sparked theories linking j0nathan’s hint to the upcoming Far Cry 7 game.
While there’s no clear explanation as to why Oppenheimer and Peaky Blinders star Cillian Murphy was chosen to play the antagonist, it’s worth noting that he previously portrayed Scarecrow in a Batman film.
When questioned whether Murphy aka Cillian Murphy would star in the game or if the lead villain would be named Murphy, j0nathan simply responded with “It’s heating up,” leaving room for interpretation.
Well, as of right now, all we can do is take this rumor with a grain of salt because Ubisoft hasn’t even confirmed that Far Cry 7 is in the works, let alone announce any casting decisions.
