A slew of 2.8 beta leaks have emerged, revealing key details about the next Genshin Impact 2.8 update, including new characters, banners, opponents, events, and more. HoYoverse has also provided fresh details regarding the character, which will be included in Genshin Impact 2.8 update.
As fans of the game will know, the most important part of this update will be Heizou, the upcoming 4-star Anemo Catalyst character. Plus, there is the “A Summer Sea Sojourn” event that will have a free Fischl skin.

It was rumored since v2.6 that Shikanoin Heizou will be a part of the Genshin 2.8 update and that has actually turned true, as reported by miHoYo on the game’s official Twitter account, the solely confirmed banner character for Genshin 2.8 version thus far is Heizou.
Heizou, the Detective of the Tenryou Commission, is highly likely to be released in Genshin Impact 2.8 update. We don’t know a lot about this character, but the 2.8 beta has given us his Elemental Skill and Burst. Moreover, we can start to see Heizou gameplay videos coming up on social media.

Lumie, a Genshin Impact leaker, says Klee will be there with Kazuha’s rerun banner. Also, images have been posted on the internet from the Phantom Realm event that gives us a look at what could be the swordman’s old home.

Genshin Impact 2.8 update – A Summertime Odyssey event
“Summertime Odyssey” is to be the main event in Genshin Impact 2.8 update, says Genshin Intel on Twitter, amidst the re-featuring Golden Apple Archipelago islands. They also claimed Mona, Xinyan, Kazuha, and Fishcl will be there during the celebration. Themed domains will be up for exploration of these characters’ backstories, alongside featured mechanics.
There will also be six-boat racing challenges, competed with boats that are fitted with nitro boosts to help navigate through the obstacles. Now, 2,400 event currency gathered from clearing domains and boat racing will get travelers a free Fischl. This is the opportunity to grab if you want Prinzessin on your team.
Another way to obtain this free Fischl skin is to collect 16 Phantasmal Conches spread throughout the Archipelago area.

Genshin Impact 2.8 update – Co-op event
Reminiscent Regiment is a new co-op event that will take place with the returning Golden Apple Archipelago in this Genshin Impact 2.8 update. It’s a 2-theme co-op event only there on the Archipelago map. You can look at the themes below:
- Boat-racing
- Escort a floating platform
- Glide from the sky down to the sea
Get rid of the opponents on the platforms quickly and gather coins to get better rewards.

Genshin Impact 2.8 update – Diluc skin
Leakers and data miners have unearthed some information that tells us that a Diluc skin will be released in the Genshin Impact 2.8 update, which will have some kind of “special effects”. And like the previous updates, there will also be a free 4-star skin.
But of course, before you start celebrating, it is wise to wait for the official confirmation.
Genshin Impact 2.8 update – New 4-star sword
A 4-star Sword has been discovered recently in the beta files of this update. UBatcha on Twitter says, “When a Normal, Charged, or Plunging Attack hits an opponent, it will whip up a Hewing Gale, dealing AoE DMG equal to 180% of ATK and increasing ATK by 15% for 8s. This effect can be triggered once every 8s.”
