GTA 6 Platforms: Rockstar Confirms Launch Platform for GTA 6

Rockstar Games just introduced the new Grand Theft Auto 6. This game is the follow-up to Grand Theft Auto 5, which so many people love and over 190 million copies have been sold. The new game’s trailer came out on December 5 today, but there was a leak on December 4 that gave fans an early peek.

We already knew a bit about the game from leaks last year, but the official trailer is super exciting. It’s full of action, like stealing from stores, dealing with alligators, racing on the streets, and more. The trailer introduces two main characters of the game who are getting ready for a lot of crime in Vice City. But if you’re wondering on what platforms will GTA 6 be on, we’ve got the answer.

On which platform is GTA 6 going to be launched?

The new Grand Theft Auto game, GTA 6, is set to come out on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S in 2025, as per the information from Take-Two, the parent company. But there’s no confirmation about it being available on PC yet.

Rockstar Games, the developer, usually releases games on consoles first and then later on PC. This was the case with GTA 5, which came to PC almost two years after the initial release. The same trend followed for Red Dead Redemption 2, which took a year to reach PC after launching on consoles.

If you’re still gaming on a PS4 or Xbox One, you might need to upgrade because GTA 6 is unlikely to work on these 12-year-old consoles.

As for Nintendo users, it’s not clear if GTA 6 will be available on any Nintendo platforms. Even though there are rumors about a new and improved Nintendo Switch, Rockstar hasn’t mentioned anything about supporting it.
