A new Batman game that is reportedly in development is rumored to be based on HBO’s ‘The Penguin’ series.
Warner Bros. might be making a new Batman game about The Penguin, inspired by an HBO show that is part of Matt Reeves’ “The Batman” universe.
According to a report by Puck, different parts of Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) are working together on this new game and the Penguin series, both connected to the 2022 movie “The Batman.”
Though nothing is confirmed yet, the game is rumored to be about Oswald Cobblepot, also known as The Penguin, as he builds his criminal empire. The HBO show, starting in September 2024, will also focus on Colin Farrell’s version of The Penguin, which people loved in the movie. The series will have eight episodes and will go until November 2024.
David Zaslav, the CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, really wants to grow the company’s gaming division, even though some people told him to sell it. He thinks video games are important for WBD because they help connect TV, movies, and games.
