Skull and Bones Release Date Has Reportedly Been Leaked

Skull and Bones, the game first revealed back in 2017, has been through quite the journey, facing multiple delays. Finally, after much anticipation, Ubisoft seems to have set a release date. According to Insider Gaming, Skull and Bones is slated to launch on February 16, 2024, across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Skull and Bones Release Date Has Been Leaked

Since it was first developed in 2013, “Skull and Bones” by Ubisoft was supposed to be released for PC and last-generation consoles, but it has been continuously delayed. Finally revealing Ubisoft’s launch plans, a fresh report from Insider Gaming suggests a possible release window.

The official release date for Skull and Bones is February 16, 2024, according to Insider Gaming. The revelation comes after Ubisoft made an official announcement in October stating that the game’s release window is scheduled for Q4 of FY23–24. Moreover, Darryl Long, the upcoming Managing Director relocating to Toronto, affirmed that the game would ship before the fiscal year’s end.

This release date aligns with Ubisoft’s previous window, estimated between January 2024 and March 2024. As of now, Ubisoft hasn’t officially verified this date, but if accurate, an official announcement should be imminent.

It has additionally been pointed out that the pre-orders for the game are available on the Ubisoft Store at £49.99, with plans for a Premium edition. Though the contents of the premium edition remain unknown, reports hinted at three days of early access, suggesting a February 13 arrival for Premium Edition buyers, likely priced around £15-£20 / $15-$20 more.

Details about the premium edition’s specific features remain scarce, and the timing of the official announcement of the new release date is uncertain, although sources speculate it might happen in the next couple of weeks, potentially during The Game Awards.

For those unfamiliar, Skull and Bones revolves around piracy and ship warfare set in the 17th century, offering an open-world experience in the Indian Ocean for players to explore and loot, either solo or with friends.

However, do remember that the release date mentioned earlier isn’t officially confirmed yet, but when the game does launch, it’s expected to be available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Amazon Luna.
